Nada – Carmen Laforet

This is an interesting story set Barcelona after the Civil War.  Andrea arrives to live with her family who are frankly insane and scary.  Apparently the disintegration of the family reflects the disintegration of the country.

It starts off really well but loses something as it goes on but an interesting novel if you want to read a Spanish novelists’ perspective on the Civil War (Sorry read this ages ago and forgot to finish the review and now can’t remember much of it)
